Still don't get it. Remember the push to vote early? Ballots are mailed ahead of time so why can't they be counted ahead of election day? This way you still have election DAY and results out on days end.

I worked in healthcare. Foreigners came in on visas to become doctors and the agreement that time was they were supposed to return home to provide medical care for their own. Guess what, nobody returned home.

In discussion with Canadians I know, they don't assimilate either. Former Canadian friends with time shares in Florida act like frat boys drunk, breaking bottles, throwing trash then snapping their fingers to call waitresses to clean it up. Groping girls, stealing for fun.

Then there are others who run to US when there is an issue but won't denounce Canadian citizenship for USA because when the issue is over they plan to return to Canada. These are simply cowards.

My parents were liberated after WW2 and sent to US. Churches sponsored them (and others) with wall to wall mattresses in church hall and church members would help by donating clothes and taking them on job interviews. The only govt benefit was periodic health checks at county health dept to screen for diseases and vaccines, required by law. NO ONE went on welfare or food stamps. It was considered a shame. They were so grateful they couldn't wait to become citizens and truly Americans. They worked all their lives, saved 1/2 their income to get on their own feet, buy a home, educate their kids.

No Catholic charities, no govt freebies, no govt shelters. True charity comes from individuals hearts, not from forced taxes
