Marjorie Taylor Greene Shares How Some Republicans Really Feel About Donald Trump When the Cameras Are Off
Marjorie Taylor Green shared how some Republicans really feel about Donald Trump when the cameras are off while speaking during her '60 Minutes' interview on Sunday, Dec. 7
"Marjorie Taylor Greene said that some of her fellow Republicans in Congress were “terrified to step out of line and get a nasty Truth Social post on them" on Sunday, Dec. 7
Speaking to Lesley Stahl on 60 Minutes, Greene also said that what some Republicans said about Trump away from the cameras "would shock people" Greene’s interview marked her first sit-down since she announced last month that she was planning to resign from Congress in January 2026 After mentioning the amount of support Trump has among the party in Congress, Stahl asked "Behind the scenes, do they talk differently?"
"Yes … oh, it would shock people," Greene responded, as Stahl insisted, "Well, let's shock people."
Greene said, “I watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, making fun of how he talks, making fun of me constantly for supporting him, to when he won the primary in 2024, they all started — excuse my language, Lesley — kissing his ass, and decided to put on a MAGA hat for the first time.”
The White House didn't immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE for comment. In a Truth Social post after the interview aired, however, Trump once again called Greene a "traitor" and insulted her as a "Rotten Apple" and a "very dumb person."
“I fully believe those women deserve everything they’re asking,” Greene told Stahl, referring to the victims of Epstein. “They’re asking for all of it to come out. They deserve it. And he was furious with me.”
When Stahl further asked Greene to describe what Trump said, she briefly paused before saying, “He said that it was going to hurt people.""
