Ahh... Well, I have a hard time understanding how otherwise intelligent people can support a brutal, deceptive group of people operating under a sense of self-imagined "superiority". Their supporters always seem to miss important red flags or be dismissive about sober facts. I think the dismissiveness is worse than the lack of awareness. I read Paul Findley's "They Dare to Speak Out" and "Deliberate Deceptions" decades ago and the descriptions of the USS Liberty attack alone were more than enough to fully open my half-opened eyes. One doesn't have to look really hard or deep to uncover the rot, but many want to cling to pre-conceived ideas versus actually listening to what the opposing side has to say and considering a change of opinion based on what they might learn.
