If you are not a U.S. citizen, you should NOT get any public funds... period. SSI is a government program for people who did not pay into SSA enough to qualify for regular SSA. If you have issues, goi the fuck back to your home country. If you are married to a US Citizen, it is their RESPONSIBILITY to take care of you, NOT the rest of the US!
First of all, it is important to note that SSA is also disability insurance for people who are unable to work and are not old enough to collect SSA.
I am going to give you a real example of a real person I know. She is 55. Her family came here when she was 6 as a refugee from the Soviet Union. She got her first job at 16, worked legally until she was 53, when she got into a car accident and was unable to work anymore. You are telling me that after paying into Social Security for almost 40 years, that she shouldn't be entitled to SSA?
What part of non-citizen did you not grasp? If she has been here all this time and didn't bother to become a citizen then boo-hoo. If she worked in covered employment then she is eligible for RSDI, not SSI.
