I have several nieces and nephews who are unable to afford an apartment of their own due to the unattainable first and last month's rent plus deposit plus utility deposits and monthly utilities. They don't want to live with roommates, but it seems that is the only way younger adults are able to spread their wings is to live with a group of other kids their age and some of those other kids don't always come up with their half of the bills. So sad.
