I have long suspected that Trump was using the Epstein dump as a threat to compel many in Congress and industry to resign, announce they won't seek reelection, etc. I think the BBB was only passed because of Trump's leverage on corrupt legislators and RINOs with something to lose.

That also aligns with why Bondi, Patel and Trump didn't rush to release everything. That info was more valuable as a threat than it was in reality.

The Left has been trying to twist it around on Trump by saying, "fine, you're blackmailing us, but we will simultaneously make people think you're dragging your feet because there are pictures of you with Epstein as well." Basically, "there is a cost to your extortion and we're all too happy to make you pay some price for it."

The Left never thought Trump would actually release the files and therefore his leverage, but the noise got so loud and Trump decided to go ahead and lose the extortion leverage but flip it into full disclosure about Epstein and the monsters who did horrible things to children.

Basically, the Left chose to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

Meanwhile, Congress is free from the threat that the Epstein dump could destroy them and they are acting as aggressively as they can to harm Trump and the MAGA agenda to slow him down for the next year before the midterms.
