During one of those press conferences one of the people from Brown (saying one of those Brown people sounded weird) said there were final exams being conducted and a lot of people were in and out.

I took that to mean the guy "could've" tailgated in - OR some dumbass propped the door open. This was brought up right after a reporter asked if there were badges/cards used to get into secured areas. Sounded fishy to me immediately.
