Christian talk radio is doing the “he said a mean thing, waaaah” again.
This is from a station that’s usually pretty good about being in his corner, but the Reiner thing cheesed them off.
Is it classless at face value? Yes.
Did the left do far worse with Kirk? Also yes.
Is there something we need to be looking at with regard to Reiner? Quite possibly.
Is it possible that his tweet was a bait to get us talking about the drugs that cause these murder/suicides needing to be taken off market, and he needed the left to be demanding something to be done? Maybe?
It’s incredible how good trump is at “bumbling” into creating the demand to do things that need to happen and get people talking about things that need to be discussed.
Trump has a first amendment right to say whatever he [legally] wants about Reiner, or anyone else. He could have said a lot more, and included 90% of Hollywood for all I care, and still been right.

These are people who don’t understand that public figures speak publicly in coded messages, or that there are people in Hollywood (Neville Sinclaire, anyone?) who have committed treason/sedition by taking part in it, nor that when a conspiracy is big enough, you can’t just make a big arrest and move to the next one because they’ll go underground.
As such, we have to help manage their opinions, since they’re ostensibly on Trump’s side, but not familiar with indirect optics at all.
