President Trump isn't the sun king. He puts people he trusts in positions to get shit done. Or he is plays a political game where favors are returned for other favors (i.e. Rubio)
That trust is often times misplaced. It's not like Trump is a hardcore analyst or something, he goes by intuition and feeling.
No, president Trump doesn't make mistakes like that. He doesn't just appoint people willy nilly. The white hats vet all of his appointments. It's ridiculous to suggest that he has a massive intelligence organization at his fingertips (Q) and then doesn't use them to help him make decisions. He only pretend to be haphazard and dumb to placate the normies. If they understood how shrewd and calculating his moves are, they would be terrified.
