Hey Donny! Gave you a +1 because I see where you're coming from.
But just like fixes for "racism" demanded reparations and special treatment within the law, I can't help but feel this is merely the other side of that same coin.
What if classism is a naturally occurring phenomenon in human society?
I can't think of a single developed society in history where it didn't exist.
Moreover, forcibly abolishing classes in society it's like trying to homogenize a snow globe. How do you forcibly make everyone "equal" class-wise? .
And why would classes be a naturally occurring artifact of human society?
Simple. Because even if all men were started on the exact same foundation, some are going to accumulate more resources than others, and therefore live a different kind of life. And it's a leftist-minded mistake to assume that "only happens because of dirty dealings" Etc.
Rather than hating/demonizing capitalism, it's incumbent on every person to go out and do the best they can in a capitalist system.
Rather than hating/demonizing classism, it's incumbent on every person to go out and do the best they can. The great thing about America's "class system", unlike many others, is that one can rise to whatever "class" one wants if they make the right decisions and are blessed by God.
I'm not saying it's easy, but it's entirely possible.
What if the creator of the universe blesses some men more/differently than others via the families they are born into?
Jesus: "To whom much is given, much is expected."
I believe in free market capitalism, which does indeed separate the wheat from the chaff.
We do not have that currently, and haven't in 100 years.
So current day slavery is what we have- where 70% of the population will never rise above the other 30%, barring a miracle.
And my mention of classicism is only to show the true reason racism was invented, as a lightning rod cover, and not to say that classicism isn't organic. It may be, but they sure don't want you to know that
Matthew 26:11. The poor you will always have with you.
Matthew 25:14-30. The parable of the talents.
Jesus identified that there are differences between people and what they can/will do.
