I did get the idea from a comedian that used p as in pneumonia, k as in Khadafi and q as in Quaddaffi. That was in the early nineties, it was many years later that I finally came up with the list above.
We’d do that sometimes where I used to work when spelling things out. A coworker made me laugh one day when she said “N as in narwhal”. I didn’t even know what a narwhal was. Thankfully I wasn’t on a call myself at the time. 😂
That reminds me of something I thought of a few years ago.
Everyone has heard of a spelling alphabet such as S as in Sam and F as in Frank. Well, I have some fun words to use:
A as in are
C as in cue
E as in ewe
I as in in
S as in see or sea
W as in why
Y as in you
and my all-time favorite: D as in double u
K as in knife
