I don't know anything other than the controversies surrounding the use of properties owned by sanctioned entities in Xinjiang that involved Uyghur human rights issues and some internal personnel issues within AirBnB China itself. The company had problems from the beginning for a variety of reasons and it seemed to be ill-equipped to do business in China. Everything involves corruption at some level. It is just the way the Chinese do business. Xinjiang especially because of the horrible treatment of the Uyghurs. I don't know anything specific involving human rights issues - so I am not sure how deep the AirBnB hole goes. If you know anything specific please enlighten me. They have fraud within that system all over and not just in China. Known for scams. I am sure China only made it worse.
No. I am talking about AirBnB here. The Chinese purchased many property especially in California. After the property purchased, they turned them into AirBnB and they sent in international students here to manage them.
I have no doubt the Chinese have really taken advantage of the AirBnB system. They take AirBnB scams to a whole new level and scale it up. The Chinese are just not good for business. If there is a way to scam money, they are all in. Unfortunately, the scammer Chinese make it bad for all of them. Personally, the Chinese nationals I have had contact with, I am not impressed and I am left cautious of their motives. There are good Chinese. But I really think they are in the minority.
We should not be allowing Chinese nationals to park their money with property here in the US for a variety of reasons. For one, it drives up property prices. They often pay cash for properties sometimes far above the market value just to secure the property. That should be a huge red flag but sellers are happy to take the money and run. Some of their properties hide ownership behind layers of shell entities. I am not sure if AirBnB requires direct ownership of properties that they list. I have never dealt with AirBnB. I have heard too many horror stories of wrecked vacations.
Trump's Gold Card Visa program will only encourage more nationals to come here and run their scams. There were lines of people every day in front of the American embassy after Trump announced that program. In fact, the embassy had to put applications on hold due to the numbers. Especially with the tighter scrutiny over applications and approvals.
The Chinese people are used to scams in China - it is expected and almost everyone has their guard up. Even then, they still manage to get scammed on an industrial level. Americans however, are simply not used to people being that immoral and unethical. The Chinese take full advantage of of our innocence and ignorance on how they operate.
Some really good Chinese that work hard and very good. Same as all the other races but there are many bad ones too.
We sell out our labor to them and they took over our industries and earned lots of money so now they are buying out our properties especially west coast.
I can only imagine. You can give me some info in drips and drabs. But nothing will surprise me at this point. The CCP has crossed some very evil and immoral lines. The sky is the only limit. With no moral boundaries set on their behavior, if they can think of it, they will find a way to do it. Sounds like the tower of Babel.
FYI: I have been hearing some rumblings that the bio-science facility they built in Cambodia may possibly be shifted back to the mainland - specifically West Central China. The Thai military w/US approval have been going after border scam centers. The scam centers are where they have a supply of captive human subjects at their disposal for their Frankenstein experiments. They are now at risk in Cambodia and the Cambodian leader has been threatening to expose the Chinese overlords if they don't step in and help them - the Thai are kicking their butts. So it appears the CCP is hedging their bets. Besides giving the Cambodians some military assistance, they are trying to relocate the main operations of these centers back to the mainland. This work seems to be of great importance to them. Where they are moving the work back to the mainland is also close to scam centers. China has been trying to show face to the world that they are clean - always the reality is far different.
Also, the Chinese have been quietly moving further inland to Central Western China and away from the coastal power cities like Shanghai. Been watching this shift over the last couple of years. They have basically written those areas of the coast off and are allowing them to economically implode. It is a strategic move to preserve their core. So, relocating these bio-centers to that area makes total sense. That Cambodian life sciences academy is also associated with the Wuhan level 4 lab and the bat lady. Makes you wonder what else they are cooking up there besides longevity treatments for the elites. These people are truly evil.

Lots of property are Chinese nationals.
Okay. Now I get you.
