This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

My late mother bequeathed shares of stock to my daughter that have exponentially increased in value since POTUS came into office. The value is now enough that they can buy their first house without a mortgage. The reason why she hasn’t sold it yet was the amount of tax she would have to pay. With the BBB becoming effective beginning with the New Year, we were thinking the tax bite might not seem so bad. The problem is how do we sell it for the needed cash. My investment advisors have all retired or died and there’s no one I trust to help with this transaction. Is there anyone in NE Ohio who can help or offer sound advice?
