I can't manage anything but compassion for people who don't have a safe place to sleep. The psychological process involved in the constant stress and anxiety has a tendency to alter one's behavior toward the negative...but I hear you. To be in service to people who don't have the bandwidth for gratitude is frustrating and disappointing.
You should see when I was working with the homeless from my church. They feel very entitled.

I almost got beat up because for enforcing the rules told to me by the host church. Oh yeah.
Kind of like Neo...and Trump. And everyone on this board, really. We work to save people who are programmed to reject help.
You cannot save them if they reject help.
