This is another place Muslims are doing it properly (Sortof) - not the fraud part, but the not applying for a “marriage license” part.
Marriage is a ^covenant* between a man, a woman, and God, not a contract between a man, a woman, and a state.
A license is a thing that permits something that is otherwise illegal.
What does that mean with regard to “marriage licenses”?
