Anyone watch "Landman?" popular Prime series on oil production in US?
Billy Bob -Exploration the connections between wind turbines and oil production--
The "Landman oil speech" from Episode 10 refers to the scene where Billy Bob Thornton's character, Tommy Norris, explains the complexities and history of oil extraction, particularly shale drilling in the Permian Basin, to the younger generation (Rebecca), highlighting deep wells and massive corporate buys like Chevron's $53 billion acquisition, contrasting traditional methods with modern fracking techniques to get oil from stacked shale layers.
He's the main character in this series gives political/ commentary's educating folks on American/trade currencies of oil, also adding international oil history using Paul Harvey background commentary!
It's like "we're" being 'educated' on why it's a powerhouse commodity and why it's valuable! 🤔
And now Venezuela ... any coincidence?
Glad you bought this up. Have you noticed Tommy Norris's(billy bob) Truck its number 17
Yes, I noticed that.
season 1 I thought was based as and I started wondering if it was a white hat tv show then realised that number on the truck.
Isn't it ironic?...
I absolutely love the series, and yes that is a good factual scene:

My favorite scene thus far is still from S1 E3 regarding the wind turbine BS:

And also right off the bat on S2, E1, he (Tommy) tells it like it is regarding those commercials that tell you whats good to eat for breakfast, and the corporations who own those cereal company's (which put out those commercials). All while having his go to breakfast to start the day....A smoke 🚬
And now with the addition of Sam Elliot, well it can only get better...
The only slight gripe I have with the series is those filler sections where all they show is an oil pump jack operating...
But that is a very, very small gripe....
leading cause of death in china is not smoking, he says something about 90 year Chinese men smoking. Haha I was thinking of that just before.
Sorry but aren’t both Billy Bob and Sam Elliott anti-2A nuts? Maybe I’ve got it wrong but that’s my recollection
No sure about BBT, but here's Sams position which I whole heartedly agree with:
Update regarding BBT:
"There is no indication that Billy Bob Thornton is anti-Second Amendment (2A). In fact, he has starred in a show, "Landman," that has been noted for its strong arguments in favor of gun rights".
I need to subscribe and watch that series. Billy's Goliath series was amazing but warning it's not for kids or a lot of people because it is cringe worthy.
Coopers hat has 47 on it look close
Also, the commercials by the petroleum industry (I can’t recall the organization name) that play at least once during every show, are informative as well.
