I’ve read in multiple places that one meaning of the phrase Eye of the Tiger, is a metaphor for an imminent attack. Evidently right before a tiger attacks, it rotates its ears, which also give the appearance of a set of eyes staring at the prey.

Then, there is the more common understanding of the Eye of the Tiger being someone who is hyper vigilant, and always ready to defend themselves.
