This is a prime example of how it succeeded, he voluntarily surrendered a potent tool. (I'm not endorsing or rejecting VR, just using as an example)
In other examples, advertising rates could be attacked easily with swarms and many bots are now self replicating and minor AI programs following simple agendas using avatars and creating accounts posing as humans beyond our understanding.
They are also used to prop up or project popularity or legitimacy.
Be Aware and operate wisely !
The Left is far smaller than the footprint it projects. They are creating an impression they are more powerful, influencial and victorious than they really are. But don't let that influence you, they are potent organizing villains that are very successful. They employ every tact possible and the brainwashing is fierce.
Good advice. I would further say, treat the things with which you agree or like, with the same level of scrutiny and care. The left AND much of the right wing establishment know no bounds. They WILL use false information they hope we will repeat in order to discredit us. They will sew false divisions, and false hatred from within. Donβt fall for it.
And again, that goes for the right as well. We still have a lot of Mitt Romneys and Liz Cheneys out there.
As an aside, I have to say - Rush Limbaugh called all of this so long ago, when he said that the overwhelming majority of the Tweets against him on Twitter (long before Musk) came from about a dozen or less actual people. I knew he was right (99.8% of the time, he said!) but itβs only grown to be more true by the day.
