I think you're being a bit myopic here.
If you view this from a geopolitics point of view, there is an objective to undermine the cabal-linked hostile Iranian government, Trump is using the leverage he has.

I dislike it too to be honest.
But the cabal is still out there and it has whole countries in its grip.
This is a worldwide operation, even if from where you are, it doesn't look like it.
