There is a boomer on reddit right now who is so toxic she has been cut off from her grandchildren. Her response? She is asking for help designing her will so it causes maximum fighting and animosity between her kids and completely destroys their relationship. There is a pack of boomers helping her.

The cabal have their own generational labels, jealousies, infighting, theft, opportunism and dis-inheritance that have plagued mankind almost from the beginning of time.
Author Neil Howe's "Generations" published back in 1991 gave names to 13 generations that had emerged since the founding of the US. The convention of naming generational iterations with a characteristic label that embodies general inclinations, perspectives, sensibilities has attained popularity. It has helped to identify subsets and thinking patterns. Stereotypes are commonly made, and are not necessarily wrong.
Generational motivations have always been with us and are not the invention of some cabal who somehow dictate the stereotypes anyone can commonly make by their own observation.
Exploitation of those who are inclined towards envious behavior may be done by cabalists, politicians and other low-lifes intent on pitting one person or group against another for their own purposes. But the operative word is "envy" - regardless of generational label, class label, status label - in any slotted context.
