What I been saying. We do not need to take Greenland by force and I don't believe Trump means to. Greenland citizens need to make the choice to join the US and I do believe this is what Trump has in mind. He always starts out with the over the top demands only to fall back to a position everyone is happy with. Art of the Deal.
Logical thinking is clarity. Most people knee jerk and react with nothing but emotion and zero critical thinking, logic, or even try to look into the subject before reacting.
The Arctic shelf holds vast mineral wealth (rare earths, oil, gas, diamonds, gold, iron, zinc, copper, etc.), with Arctic nations like Russia, US, Canada, Norway, and Denmark claiming rights under the UNCLOS treaty, though the US hasn't ratified it, creating complexities, while the race intensifies to map extended continental shelves for exclusive rights to these critical resources for energy and technology.
Whoever OWNS land near the Artic circle , OWNS The Rights to Mine Sea Shelf. The more land A county owns near artic, the more minerals it gets.
He is absolutely correct. The EU doesn't mention the wishes or Greenlanders nor does Denmark. It's much the same with the Canadian Provinces tired of being treated as second class citizens by the libs in Ottawa. Trump should offer statehood to them and Greenland. They will benefit economically and in return gain a measure of security that neither Canada or Denmark can provide. They have a wealth of oil and rare earth minerals much needed by America to be either used by our domestic companies and as leverage against China. IMHO it's China, not Russia that presents the biggest threat to the U.S. The EU should kiss America's ass for defeating Nazis and keeping the Soviets from over-running them, for rebuilding them after WWII and for putting up with their BS and backstabbing the country that saved their asses from total destruction.

Trump plays chess, and even if the other world leaders get that and put down their checkers, they aren't going to win.
