I just got a phone call from Aetna which is my Medicare add on. The gentleman mispronounced my surname and I corrected him. He wanted to schedule an in home healthcare visit. I said no thank you. He asked why. I told him it was intrusive and I don't want strangers coming in my house. But, he continued, we want to be sure you're ok. I said I'm fine. I'm 73 but quite active. My son and DIL live with me and if I feel unwell I can go to the doctor if warranted. He said well we can check your home and share our findings with your doctor. I asked if it was mandatory and he said no. I said have a nice day. We are done here. Why would anyone consent to this? Hell no! Stay in your lane, Aetna!

I'm a new Medicare/United player. When they called me, and I actually took their call, the dude would not give up. I told him I have my annual check up in two weeks, I'll run this by my doctor. His response: Why would you want to speak to him about this? I informed him our call is over.
That's just creepy!
