I thought a citizen (or a prosecutor who happens to be a citizen) who is a credible person (not a felon) simply swears out a notarized criminal complaint, not a judge.
Can't Magistrates be fired, they are not appointed and approved by the Senate. Rooting out all the Commies, its going to take time, there are so many. Everyone in that church protest should be arrested. No magistrate should decide what law they like and don't like for enforcement.
I don't know the answer, yet, but I do agree with you.
Federal Magistrate Judges
Appointment & Tenure: Appointed for a set term (e.g., 8 years for full-time) by district court judges, not for life.
Removal Process: Removal is handled by the appointing district court judges, requiring a majority vote, or by a circuit's judicial council for misconduct or disability.
Grounds for Removal: Misconduct, disability, or failing to perform duties can lead to removal, often following a judicial conduct complaint.
