I've been watching some travel vlogs and other videos on Somalia / Somalialand. I'm starting to think that the reason it is a "shit hole country" is because of the intel agencies (shocker).

The people there seem very sweet and nice barring the obvious crabs in a bucket mentality which naturally arises in impoverished war-torn regions.

I don't think I'll be able to look at this whole issue the same now. Need to look deeper later. But it seems the template has been:

• intel agencies destabilize a fledgling region
• NGOs and 'aid agencies' then shuffle their refugees around to destabilize the more established nations
