Correct, Florida here and I’m happy that we are leading the way in so many area’s.

While the DOH has the authority to change these rules without the legislature, as of late January 2026, it had not yet formally published a final rule to finalize their removal. Note on COVID-19: Florida already has permanent laws in place (passed in 2021 and 2023) that prohibit businesses, government entities, and schools from mandating COVID-19 vaccines.
