Actually, that was Henry Ford. When the Americans that knew cars lifted the hoods on German war vehicles and saw Ford engines, they were mighty surprised and pissed off. Yes, Ford successfully sued for damage to his factories in Germany. Edit: Henry Ford also was a recipient of the highest honor that a non military person could get from the German government. Hitler and Ford had a great deal of mutual admiration.
