The push into electric vehicles was always bullshit, sold by the left as the move that would future-proof America’s and Europe’s legacy automakers and save the planet - and anyone not buying it was subject to a guilt trip from smug, private-jet-owning elitists. Instead, EVs are now looking like one of the costliest strategic blunders in modern automotive history. Major U.S. and European brands - including Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen - have collectively burned through nearly a staggering $114 billion on EV ventures between 2022 and late 2025, according to an analysis by Robert Bryce in the The New York Post.
I like EVs on the golf course. They seem to be a perfect fit. Unfortunately, that’s the only perfect fit.
The Palisades fire in Los Angeles was exacerbated by the thousands of EVs and their lithium batteries the burnt to the ground. Those EVs were a constant source of flames to be carried along by 80-100 mph winds.
Never allow EVs in underground parking or your building will be toast.
On paper they're great. No emissions, crazy acceleration, fewer moving parts to maintain. Seems perfect.
Between range limitations, though, and a grid that's not up to the task yet, you run into the theoretical/practical divide pretty quick.
Hybrids, especially plug-in hybrids like Toyota's "Prime" models with a little electric-only range and then really good gas mileage, are a better bet for now. Saves money and still can be used like traditional ICE vehicles.

EVs make the Ford Edsel and the Ford Pinto look like smart choices.
Solar & wind next or already? Was Chyna the only one that made any money, maybe they're next. 🤔😮
I plan on laughing openly at most EV buyers for years in the future.

Ev's are a great supplement, but they are not a replacement.
English milk delivery "floats" are a good example.
That was a fun show
I love it.
