In 1985 this one was a Top Music Hit across the world.

I was in my mid-20's. I was oblivious to any trafficking or anything weird being done to children. My own son was not born yet. But 1985 was the start of my awakening. My Army career had me stationed in D.C. at the same time and place with Colonel Michael Aquino. I knew there was something evil about him.

Now that the facts are being rolled out, and thus the evidence of decades of abuse, singers, and actors being compromised, bribed, or even knowingly/willingly entering the dark world in exchange for fame and fortune, it's just maddening to me - just sick that "we" just didn't know.

"We" the kids raised on Main Street USA, the ones who celebrated on July 4, 1976, and the ones who loved all the music. (I owned over two hundred 45RPM records) This was one of them.

"Shout" (condensed; removing redundant lyrics)

In violent times

You shouldn't have to sell your soul

In black and white

They really, really ought to know

Those one-track minds That took you for a working boy

Kiss them goodbye You shouldn't have to jump for joy

Shout, shout, let it all out

These are the things I can do without

Come on

I'm talking to you, come on

They gave you life And in return you gave them hell <---not sure who is talking here

As cold as ice

I hope we live to tell the tale

And when you've taken down your guard

If I could change your mind

I'd really love to break your heart

Yes, my heart is broken, my son, the one who was not even born when this song came out -- now 38... has been silent for 5 years now. I gave him life, and in return he gave me hell, as cold as ice, I hope I live to tell the tale.
