Mississippi resident here, They eliminated the income tax, but what they don't tell you is how much they offset it by raising the fuel tax. So we pay the highst fuel tax in the nation and not only that, if you research you'll find that Mississippi has the Highest grocery prices of all 50 states (including Hawaii) and yet we are the poorest state of all 50. Lowest income percapita and highest Grocery and fuel. But, I love this state. Very freedom friendly.
