Agreed. However, things like this do not seem outside the realm of possibility given the fact we know that many Nazi's went to Argentina, along with other places throughout So America, before and after the war. But yes, it needs to be verified by experts.
No doubt. All kinds of artifacts bring big money. The antiquities markets are a minefield full of fakes and forgeries. Some of it is so good these frauds can even fool the experts. In academic circles this level of dishonesty for profit has made the search for historical reconstruction very difficult, not to mention costing those institutions focused on preservation millions. Museums unfortunately are plagued by numbers of forgeries in their collections. As a history buff, I am very saddened by it.
