We have discussed alternative medications in the past. My wife who is 58 has been trying to not be placed on statin drugs for high cholestorol. Her physician is now scaring her as her levels are over double what he wants them to be. Some of what I have read personally state that cholestorol is needed to ward off alzeheimers. One of her great aunts had alzeheimers and we suspected her sister my wifes grandmother as being undiagnosed. My wife is resonably inclined to stay away for statin drugs but we are also equally scared of her numbers.

Please know that the numbers these doctors are pushing for are way lower than in the past. Too low. I have an 86 yo friend who had a stent put in. He was having symptoms again. I gave him the vitamin c and l-lysine protocol that u/JohnTitor17 posted. Within ONE day he could feel his feet again. Within two days, he was walking his long driveway pulling his trash can to the street. His wife said he worked more than he had in a long time. He said he felt ten years younger. That was two days into the treatment. That was the beginning of last year. He does it roughly every 8 weeks for two weeks. He will be 87 next month. It works.
