Trump Boom: America Added 130,000 Jobs in January—More Than Twice As Many As Expected
The U.S. economy added 130,000 jobs in January, more than twice as many as expected, and the unemployment rate fell to 4.3 percent, the Labor Department said Wednesday. | Economy
"Expected"
Im happy to see others winning. Meanwhile, the company I work for is on the brink while we try to stay afloat after being bought out by a major corporation, only for said parent corporation to file bankruptcy after massive fraud. Corruption is everywhere.
I hope you can take your skills to a better atmosphere
I notice a trend.
When the Dems are in office, the MSM loudly inflates the “expected” numbers and downplays, by under reporting, the actual numbers when they are revealed.
When the Republicans are in office, the MSM lowballs the expected numbers for days on end and then briefly mentions them for one news cycle when the numbers out perform their “expectations”.
I see +130,000 here, and -911,000 from Jerome Powell.
What the hell.
I took a quick look and couldn’t find what you are referring to. I did see that the Trump haters are trying to give Powell credit for these job gains.
Looks like that news was from September. I shoulda checked the date.

Still, -911K in September eh? Honk.
The jobs growth came entirely from the private sector, which added 172,000 jobs. The federal government’s payrolls contracted by 34,000 while state and local government employment shrank by 8,000.
Construction added 33,000 in January and manufacturing employment climbed by 5,000. Durable goods manufacturing added 9,000 jobs and nondurables shrank by 4,000. The private sector’s services side added 136,000 jobs, primarily in the health and social services sector. Professional and business services added 34,000. Retail added 1,200 jobs.
During Obama it was less than expected, during Trump it's more than expected. Who are these yahoos "expecting" more and less? Since they're always wrong, why do we need them?
