It amazes me that throughout history there has been child sacrifice, but now that we are 'civilized' we can't believe that it still exists and is part of worshiping pagan, satanic gods.

Genesis 22:1-3 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

Why was Abraham willing to sacrifice his son. Because it was a recognized custom that child sacrifice to the gods was at times required. But not to the one true God!! Our heavenly Father taught that as the one and only true God, He is not like other gods, He is above them!! He separated himself through example showing that He never accepted the practice of child sacrifice, nor should any god! Unfortunately the rest of the pagan world never got that memo :-(

There are evil supernatural forces at work, continuously since the dawn of man. They did not just dry up and disappear because we are 'civilized'. And they have required child sacrifice as part of worshiping them and still do.

Exodus 7:10-12 So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh and did what the Lord had commanded them. Aaron threw his staff in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and sorcerers, and they - along with the Egyptian magicians - did the same thing with their secret arts. So each one threw down his staff and it became a serpent, but Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.

This is a war in the seen and unseen realms. As eyes get opened to the evil that permeates amongst us, fortunately some are realizing that if there is this much evil then we can only be surviving through God's grace and mercy, and as such are turning towards Him.****
