I respectfully disagree. She absolutely did not do the right thing. Whether she pulled that stunt and did the disclosure on purpose or accidentally it resulted in a disclosure of controlled information. She had no reason to pull that doc out where the people and the press could see it but she did. We all cheered. I stopped cheering when I saw the (LES) marking and realized what she did.
Also - she did put a classification on the doc - it clearly said (U)/(LES). If you have been inside classified areas and are familiar with markings you would know the (U) is the classification. Unclassified. The (LES) is the control or restriction telling you how it is to be handled - like NOFORN, SCI, LIMDIS, CI, FOUO, and yes - LES.
Your last 2 sentences are interesting. I agree those people need to be investigated. But she wasn't doing her job "legally". I'd like to have the investigation pan out, rather than have it fail because of a leak. And reading her mind? Accomplishes nothing. I don't care what she was thinking when she showed that doc. I care that she showed it. If she is fired/impeached/disbarred/ or criminally charged they will care what she was thinking so they can establish intent.
I just want the damn government to stop releasing stuff to benefit themselves (if she in fact did this on purpose and not accidentally).
