I lived in CA back in 2016 and heard that you could register to vote online, and that you only needed a drivers license to register to vote. CA allows illegals to get drivers licenses. That seemed to be a recipe for illegal votes to be cast. I decided to check that out, and sure enough, all you have to do is go to the state voter registration website, enter you driver's license number, and then check the box asking if you are a U.S. citizen! Of course, someone who entered the country illegally isn't going to lie about being a U.S. citizen when registering to vote, so no worries there :)

True. In many cities, non-citizens can vote in local elections.
Obviously that doesn't apply to federal elections.
Part of that whole states rights things. Some states allow this. Some don't. 🤷♀️
It always makes me feel like I've fallen into Bizarro World when conservatives argue against states rights.
