What the Hell is Going on with YT's Home Page

Currently when I go to the page I'm left with a blank screen or service unavailable. However the rest of the site is working and this only started around 7pm EST.

Sometimes to get to the page I have to an enter characters test.

I have tried multiple web browsers and disconnected my VPN.

Im in middle America and it happened to me around 8 CST. Odd, I thought at first it was my local cable company doing upgrades tot heir system. Glad to know it's just not me.
