Howard Lutnick and his firm, Cantor Fitzgerald, have been involved in a financial product that allows them to profit from potential tariff refunds if the Supreme Court rules against the Trump-era tariffs. They reportedly offer companies cash upfront for the rights to these refunds, which could lead to significant financial gains following the court's decision.

Before we pass judgment on Lutnick, we need to consider a few things:
Our biases (i.e. against someone who 'survived' miraculously 9/11, or the concept that Trump puts people front and center to highlight/expose them for being evil - he does this sometimes, but it is NOT always the case. Hence, check biases and don't jump to conclusions.
There are people who desperately want to attack and cripple Trump's team, and spreading disinfo and accusation is a favorite method. If Lutnick is on the up and up, then he will be attacked for any perceived flaw.
I don't know re: Lutnick, but I am inclined to be highly suspicious when a key architect of Trump's miracle tariffs policy is attacked from various angles.
I lived in NYC and was 1/2 block away from the whole thing. The captain of my hockey team had a corner office on the 104th floor of the first tower hit. He was in a small fender bender on the Verrazano bridge on his way to work that day and was late getting to his office. I remember him telling us that in the locker room at Chelsea Piers, and he was still barely able to understand it, he was white as a sheet still
I suspect that along with a lot of tragedy that day, there were a lot of miracles, too.
