I suppose it’s worth pointing out that up until the early 1900s. Some ideas currently held as sacrosanct by the Right were left wing ideas. And even then we’ve seen some political ideological switches happen within collective living memory. Such as the Democrats and broader left becoming the party of moral busybodies wanting to slap restrictions on speech. While the Right took on the mantle of free speech crusaders.
So trying to apply today’s political philosophy and political divides. Especially given the variable history. Doesn’t really make this analogy fit. Though I get the sentiment you were going for.
