This debate has been raging ever since. Parroting this division only serves to reinforce the acceptable discussion line.
In reality, there is freedom and there is slavery.
if there is no bodily freedom, there is slavery
if there is no mental freedom, there is slavery
if there is no spiritual freedom, there is slavery.
IF freedom on these 3 magisteria exists, civic freedom is existent, otherwise, there is only slavery.
This book was written in February of 1776, 5 months before the declaration of independence, where governments exists to protect: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Meaning, on both sides of the argument, this distinction was well understood. The choice by the politicians in Britain was to reject this notion under the pretense of it not being practical, and delusional.
