If an immigrant who came here legally, applies for a PR, they have to wait many years to get the PR. Then they wait another 4.5 years for citizenship. This should technically apply to the immigrant children as well.
If a person from a foreign country comes to the USA and gives birth to a baby, they automatically become citizens.
So they can come here on 'vacation', or even jump the border, for this to happen.
