Usually athletes at that level have high performance diets that are part of their training programs - especially for high intensity sports. McDonald's is not part of that. Even in off season they maintain some degree of diet control. I have known many people that work with athletes at the university level and diet control is a huge part of those programs.
I think I would eat McDonald's if POTUS invited me to the White House. It's one meal, in the White House, ffs, it would be rude not to have something to eat.
This. 100% correct. Even athletes at this level can have a cheat day. The trick with them is it really is just one cheat day, not 5x a week like many of us.
