sure, the Bible calls her blessed, but the Bible also has 27 other verses about who is blessed. WE, as Christians are ALL blessed. Mary wasn't sinless. if that were so, the BIBLE would say it. it does not.

you believe the pope, over the Bible. there is ZERO Biblical basis for this.

Now -- if you want to argue with the Blessed Mother about who she is -- be my guest. BUT we Catholics know who She is because She told us.
Protestants exist because Henry VIII wanted to marry Anne Boleyn. He desired a divorce from Catherine of Aragon. He attempted to use the fact that she had been previously married to his deceased brother Arthur to have the marriage dissolved but the Pope wouldn't allow it. So he broke off from the Catholic church and THAT is the beginning of Protestantism.
After Henry VIII broke off then every Tom, Dick, and Harry who had an issue with some aspect of the church decided to break off. THAT is why there are so many Protestant sects. IF you are all so much believers in the Bible there should only be one Protestant sect. But you guys can't even agree to a single interpretation of what it means to be a Protestant. It was more a matter of people wanting to do their own thing. Have at it. The bickering over the Reformation is long dead and we don't care what you believe or what you do anymore. Just realize that Henry VIII started it all and it was over his desire for a woman and stop trying to convince us it was because of the Bible.

the catholic religion is to the Bible, as the Talmud is to the Torah.
fanfiction, created by men, to take away from Christ's sinlessness. HE is the only man that is still, in fact, alive. HE is the only one to ever live a sinless life. the Bible even tells us in Romans, NO one is without sin. we are ALL born to sin. no exceptions but Christ.
and yes, there are factions of protestants that are ALSO corrupt, reforming the Word to suit their wants.
any true Christian pastor of the Bible would answer any question with a reference to the Bible, not some dogma, created by man. i mean, even the confession to a priest was created by the catholics in 1200-something iirc. just another revision that a believer wouldn't buy into. in a protestant church, the pastor is just another man, with greater knowledge of the Bible that shares a message. not some holier-than-thou that it appears catholics apply to their leaders.
You can explain your disrespect of the Blessed Mother to Jesus when you stand face to face. Do you honestly think He approves of the attitude you display toward His mother? Use your head. You're on thin ice and don't realize it.
The apparition at Lourdes is not "fanfiction". The Blessed Virgin Mary makes appearances when She has messages to impart to humanity.
The Blessed Virgin intercedes for people and many miracles both published and non-published are due to Her intercession.
Speaking of which, a word of advice: the next time you pick a Catholic to argue with -- choose one who HAS NOT been a recipient of The Blessed Virgin's intercession. You have absolutely no chance whatsoever of convincing me of anything regarding this issue.
You're speaking to someone who was the recipient of a miracle. I SHOULD have died or been paralyzed from the neck down when I was five years old. But my mother asked Our Lady to intercede. Neither happened.
Even the doctors couldn't explain how I was "cured" overnight. And there were at least twenty of them examining me the next morning trying to figure it out.
NOBODY asked me any questions. If they had -- I would have told them about the supernatural occurrence in the middle of the night.
It was decided to keep quiet about what happened because my mom didn't want the commotion that always occurs when the faithful find out a miracle has occurred. She wanted a normal life for me so even though it was a Catholic hospital -- it was not reported publicly.
I am sure the medical records still exist in their archives. But it doesn't matter. I KNOW what happened. Our Lady interceded for me and I was healed. And She has my total devotion ever since.
So do yourself a favor and be careful what you say about the Queen of Heaven. She is EXACTLY who She said She is!
