Don't currently have active service loved ones, but several are veteran Navy. A couple of them served on the Enterprise back in the day. So I am a little partial to carriers. Will be nice to see the new one when it finally is deployed.
One was on the Enterprise back in the 70's. If I remember correctly, as a Marine, he was part of the Military Police attached to the carrier at the time. The other I think was on the Enterprise around 86 and was connected with the flight deck but I don't remember what his job was. It has been a few minutes since I spoke with them. I do remember my Navy friend always wore his Enterprise cap proudly.
My husband was in ordinance. He has been all over the world. He did his active duty on the USS Carl Vinson.
Please tell you friends that served I appreciate their service. It takes a special person that makes the sacrifices these men and woman make everyday. Thank God for them!
