I dont understand that considering Rubio made it quite clear they knew Israel had a planned strike and we had to join knowing Iran would lump us into the retaliation strikes. So how did they not force our hand?

I'd say they didnt too. I wouldnt want the embarassment of being essentially bullied into something by what is a dependapotomus of the US..
