Question for a true Marine. My (far left nitwit brother) after college signed up for the Marines, and went to Marine Officer Candidate school (circa late 1970's). He claims he completed it and that they wanted him to go to southern California and be a platoon commander. He had hoped to further his education in computer programming with the marines/navy. This is what he claims. He turned down what they wanted him to do, claiming he quit with an honorable discharge since he didn't get to go to computer school.
My father (WWII Navy vet) told me later on that he believes my brother was dishonorably discharged which my brother strongly denied when I mentioned it to him. Does his story sound true to you?
