The meters are 4G and 5G and remotely controlled from the cloud. They affect power surges and especially in old wiring harnesses in old homes they can cause insulation to catch fire. There's also been many instances of the meters themselves catching fire. Well documented
Apparently magic as the claims tend to fail basic understanding of how electricity works. So what in this video supposedly proves anything? Most of the video doesn't even have sound and these look like typical roof fires started by windblown flaming debris.
They probably threatened to kill anyone else who wanted to write an article about the dangers of smart meters. They also emit unsafe levels of radiation.
You have obviously NEVER seen an actual electrical fire.
Over loading and heating wires is the easiest way to start a fire for a bogus insurance claim, in Minecraft. A “smart” meter allows this to be done remotely.
Educate yourself, put a small piece of wire wool over the terminals of a 9v battery. Scary, isn’t it. Irish know a bit about starting fires.
Same reason nobody should buy ANY cheap Chyna electric cars, in my opinion they are incendiary devices.
Many electrical devices contain Metal Oxide Varistors for surge suppression. They are basically incendiary devices under the wrong conditions. Even the wiki article on those devices mentions how they catch fire. All that is needed is a sustained overvoltage without too much current. Put one of these in a plastic tube and mount it on a wall beside plastic siding and under a wooden eve and 🔥
There's a glitch in the link.
Here is the specific footage referred to in the title.

How do smart meters start fires? 🤔

They can stop the electronic fuses from tripping, allowing overheating and eventually a fire.

I love the synergy of arrogance and ignorance displayed by people like you.

Interesting how nothing on that site is newer than 2016.

Also, loose the attitude.
So what? Interesting how I can use decade old data points to prove you don't know what you're talking about.
Tell us more about the basic understanding of how electricity works.
That hot attics suck embers in through the vents.
Some even further than blocks away. Curious.
Where’s the firefighters?
Standing down..
The reporters never question it.
