I seem to be surrounded by people who absolutely refuse to look at any information that makes Israel look bad, and absolutely feel free to harass and demean anyone who questions Israel.

The social pressure to adore Israel is nothing like anything I have ever seen. People who were reasonably intelligent before seem to have fallen under some weird spell.

It is so extreme that it appears absolutely nutty to me.
