Mines were all cleaned up last week as well. This is what they are afraid of. Mines are anchored to seabed so they float just below the surface, positioned to blow hole in side/bottom of hulls. US NAVY minesweepers and frogmen were probably working for last 30 days defusing that vector of attack.
US Treasury-backed insurance would not have been offered on 3-3-26 if mines had not all been cleared out of shipping lanes by 3-2-26.
God could you imagine being the guy defusing a mine like that. I mean think about it. You join, you know you are going to try out for Seals, you make it, they train your ass even more, you have to get scuba certified, you have to get demo instruction, all kinds of other things, then you are there clearing literal mines that could blow a oil tanker to hell.

Yeah, I guess I was picturing the old style mines and how they would have done it. My imagination sometimes gets the best of me. I work in IT I should have known better.
