Modern doctors no longer use that version of the oath, but an updated version that has the same principles concerning ethics, patient rights, etc.
I did not intend that for its literal meaning, but for the spirit of the Hippocratic Oath, which boils down to, "First, do no harm."
Ah ok. Like I said, I'm no doctor. I had a simplified more generic type oath as an EMT. Perhaps I should have researched a little before commenting. Anywho's, carry on! Thanks for clarifying.
