So this lady I know, was vomiting almost everything she ate. She thought she had an ulcer. The dr did some testing and told her she was too acidic. Will apple cider vinegar fix this problem ?
Possible cause: Is she eating enough salt? Salt is a necessary component of hydrochloric acid which the stomach makes in order to start the process of digesting food. Without it the food will rot in the stomach and therefore why she is throwing up the food.
Something I heard a doctor tell a callar on a radio show a while back.
Try it, but dilute it some with some water. Straight Vinegar can burn.
But also try some salt 1/2 tsp) in a little water- a shot glass. As Anon1970 is suggesting. Salt helps with stopping 'acid reflux' which is not actually acid, more like fermentation - bubbling liquids.
But bottom line: try stuff. i've been there.
For food: Seriously, try the BRAT - Bread (not butter), Rice (white), Apples and Bananas diet for three days at least. Bread needs to be clean ingredients, of course, but that one helps 'soaking up' the liquids in the stomach and helps. It needs to be eaten slowly, little pieces at a time. Same with rice: a tablespoon, and wait some.
Banana and apple feels cooling, which can instantly help.
The point is: to reverse the direction of that chucking reflex. And yes it can take multiple days. The first day is a hour-by-hour thing - eat a small piece of food every hour.
Personally, I'd do an elimination diet and see if a specific food is triggering it. My husband recently discovered he's extremely allergic to chocolate, and it was causing all kinds of issues. He went to cardiologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists...even the ER at one point. Doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him, but now he's on Omeprazole and has a CPAP. Kek!

Oh and chrystallized ginger helps too.
